by Tove Myhr President Omar Hassan al-Bashir,Sudan, have signed 2 photos i sent him. I am very happy about his autograph!
Since 1993 I have sent him 21 letters!!. In July 2008 I sent him a photo, but he did not reply. On August 15, 2009 I sent him a new letter, this time as registered mail. I think it is my latest letter he responded to, because I this time sent him 2 photos. The signed photos came as registered mail from Sudan's Embassy in Norway. President al-Bashir have been president of Sudan since 1989.
In July 2008, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno-Ocampo, accused al-Bashir of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur. The court issued an arrest warrant for al-Bashir on 4 March 2009 on counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity, but ruled that there was insufficient evidence to prosecute him for genocide. The warrant will be delivered to the Sudanese government, which is unlikely to execute it. Al-Bashir is the first sitting head of state ever indicted by the ICC.
