This year has so far been the worst in my 23 years of collecting. I collect mainly world leaders (policitians).
The mail box has never been this empty. Maybe it's a dry season, maybe the politicians have decided not to sign anymore, maybe the postal connection is so bad and so many letters get lost on the way, or maybe we have become too many collectors hunting the same persons?
A couple of years ago one could at least receive a facsimile or autopenned photo. Now I wonder what's going on as even these are harder to obtain... I'd love to hear views from others. Maybe I've become too picky of whom I write to (but I can't imagine that as there are new prime ministers or presidents somewhere like monthly or so). It could be that new collectors don't experience a dry season as there are so many signatures they want to secure that I already have got.
Anyone?
